![]() ![]() Super Quick Link is an easy way to create links to files and screenshots. First, download and install Super Quick Link here: Version 1.512 Windows 98/XP/Vista/7 (Requires .NET 2.0) Once installed, Super Quick Link will run in the background and is ready to share anytime. ![]() To Share Files Step 1 – SHIFT-CTRL-C (Upload) To create a link to a file (or many files) select or highlight them like you normally would, and press SHIFT-CTRL-C. Super Quick Link will then upload the file(s) you have selected and return a link for each one. That is, do not press CTRL-C like you normally would to copy files, press SHIFT-CTRL-C. Those new links will be put in your clipboard ready for you to paste (CTRL-V) anywhere. Step 2 – CTRL-V (Paste) Once the upload is complete, you can paste the text links that Super Quick Link made just like any normal test links. Press CTRL-V to paste the links into an email, blog post, or whatever; of course, you can also right click/paste on the mouse if that’s the way you roll. To Share a Screenshot Step 1a - SHIFT-PRINTSCREEN (Capture entire screen & Upload) To create a link to a screenshot, press SHIFT-PRINTSCREEN. This will capture your entire viewing area, upload it, and create a text link to that image you can paste (CTRL-V) anywhere. Step 2 - CTRL-V (Paste) Again, just like before you can paste this new text link anywhere. Alternate Ways to Create a Screenshot Step 1b - SHIFT-CTRL-PRINTSCREEN (Capture current window & upload) This work similar to Window’s normal ALT-PRINTSCREEN, it will capture just the currently active window and upload it. Step 1c - SHIFT-CTRL-PRINTSCREEN (Capture an area of the screen & upload) This is kind of tricky and only recommended for hard core screenshot experts. If you can pull this off, you’re guaranteed to be the envy of your screenshot sharing friends. To capture and share any arbitrary area of your screen: 1. Make sure you can see the Super Quick Link status window (right click on icon in Task Tray and click “Show”). 2. You’ll notice the Status Window is slightly transparent. Move and resize the Super Quick Link window over the area of the screen you’d like to capture. 3. Keep Super Quick Link as the active window, and press SHIFT-CTRL-PRINTSCREEN. Instead of capturing the active window like the application normally would, Super Quick Link will capture whatever is behind it. You’ll notice it hides itself for a second, captures whatever is directly behind it, and then shows itself again. 4. Paste the text link as normal. Alternate Way to Paste - CTRL-SHIFT-V Paste Links as Images & HTML Super Quick link also lets you paste your new links as HTML, which is perfect for rich text boxes or HTML email messages (even works in Gmail). To paste your new links as HTML, press SHIFT-CTRL-V (instead of just ctrl-v). If you are pasting your links into an email client, make sure the message type is set as “HTML” or “Rich Formatting”. |
